OHM: a meditative performance lecture & how our mind and body are practically commercialized

The text based performance lecture, OHM: a meditative performance lecture & how our mind and body are practically commercialized, investigates various modes of presence-ness in relation to performance art, the performing subject, and Mindfulness. Taking into consideration that the core of Mindfulness is in fact presence, and not least how to refine ones presence in order to become more present, the performance will use Mindfulness to discuss and experience different modes of presence. Thus the performance merges practical exercises from Mindfulness and yoga with performance theory, autobiographical material, and critical discourse – questioning the popularity or even, as it appears to be, the regime of Mindfulness within a Western context.
